So far in this game I've come across more bugs then players. Most of them I just turn my head and avoid and wait for them to get fixed in the next patch, because you know that's what a GM will say about the issue. "It's a bug and will be fixed in the next patch." Sometimes however, I come across a bug that needs immediate attention, and I send a whisper to all of the following GM characters, Undead/Undying, Terrorblade and Pyros. Usually one out of the those three will be on and respond to my whisper.
The first major issue I had was with a quest mob. The quest said to kill the mob, so I did. The quest did not update, so I figured I'd wait for it to respawn so I could try again. After 30 minutes of waiting, the mob had not respawned. So I sent a tell to Terrorblade, and he quickly teleported to my location. I told him what happened, and he suggested dropping the quest and retrying it, maybe that will respawn the mob. I asked him if he could just respawn it for me so I could kill it and move on. He quickly informed me that he is not allowed to respawn mobs, and said that the respawn on this mob was 30-60 minutes. I told him i would wait the full 60 minutes and get back to him if it hadn't respawned yet. So, another 30 minutes goes by, 45 minutes, and I finally send him a whisper and tell him the its been well over an hour and the mob has not respawned. He again suggests abandoning the quest and redoing it, he even offers to teleport me to the quest's starting area. So I go with it this time, abandon the quest, teleport, get the quest again, and run all the way back to the mob... which still isn't there. So now its been about 2 hours of waiting for a quest mob to respawn. I try to get back in touch with Terrorblade, but it seems he is now just ignoring me. So I decide to camp the mob and wait for it to spawn. I sat in the same spot for over 4 hours, and asked Terrorblade one final question, "Do you know when the server restart is?" Still no reply. About an hour goes by of still waiting for the mob to respawn, and the server reset pop up window appears, just then I get a whisper from Terrorblade, "yes, in 15 minutes" ... So after 5 hours of waiting, the server reset, and my mob was there waiting for me when I logged back in.
For my first major experience with a GM, I sum it up as rather time consuming, and a complete waste of time.
Now, for my second major experience with a GM. I was in MoH north doing a quest and the NPC i had just spoken to told me to talk to another NPC at the end of a tunnel. So, I made my way to the ladder that leads down to the Tunnel, back up slowly, fall and die. I went from PEP 5 to PEP 4. We all know how aggravating is is to lose a PEP level, and I'd like to stress this point very well. So I made my way back to the ladder, and decided to try again. This time i did it slower, backed up to the ladder, fell and died. Now I'm down to PEP 3. I'm a little bit angry at this buggy ladder, and send a whisper to all three GM's i previosly stated. This time Pyros returned my whisper. I told him what happened, and he asked me to meet him at a spawn point to take hm to the ladder and show him what happened. So I did just that, met up with him on the other side of the map, joined his party, and ran back to the other side of the map to the buggy ladder. He helped me clear the area of mobs, and I again, backed up to the ladder, fell and died. So now I've lost 3 PEP to this ladder. I respawn and he tells me that I'm pressing spacebar when I climb down the ladder... yeah nice try, but your wrong Pyros, I'm level 42, this isn't the first ladder I've climbed down in the game. So told him to stay there I will do it again this time and slower. So I run all the way back to the ladder, back up to it even slower this time, fall and die. I've now gone from 5 to 1 PEP on this ladder, and two of those times was to show the GM the ladder was buggy. I respawn, and he suggested that I relog and try it again. Right about now I'm thinking, yeah right, this GM is watching me fall down this ladder and probably laughing his ass off while my PEP level goes down each time. So I ask him if there's any way he can restore my PEP levels. His response is "nope, not happening". So I told him thanks but no thanks, I'm not losing my 1 last PEP point on this dumb ladder, and /leave his party.
So my second major experience with a GM was again, a huge waste of time. I'm curious, do these people get paid to waste our time? Because last time I checked, I pay a monthly subscription for this game, and put a lot of time into it. Right about now based on in game help, I will not ever suggest asking for help from a GM. I'm also considering quitting this game, because I have been a long time Acclaim game player, and this seems to be about what I expect from the Acclaim staff. I've been paying this company for over 3 years for acclaim coins, and playing its games for that long. If my experience with TCOS is going to be the same as it was with 9 Dragons and Two Moons, then you can kiss this long time subscriber good bye.
